Jackie Bowden

Jackie Bowden is the founder and director of Moxie Dance Collective and Mini Movers Studio. Jackie is a alum of Salem State University were she graduated with honors with a minor in dance. She received the Creativity Award in dance and was awarded an arts grant to study at Broadway Dance Center's Training Program. In August of 2020, she completed the Boston Ballet Adaptive Dance Training Program and continues to take classes to further her studies as a dance educator through programs like BAM Dance, NDEO and Inspire.Create.Educate. In the winter of 2024 she completed her 90 hour children's yoga course through Radiant Child Yoga and in 2025 opened Mini Movers Studio's home studio in Charlestown.

In 2017, Jackie co-founded Kaleidoscope Dance Company and co-directed until 2019. She was previously signed with Andrew Wilson Agency for commercial acting and modeling, before shifting focus full time to dance education.  She has danced with Kiniscape, OnStage Rep, Boston Community Dance Project Global and OnStage Dance Company.  She continues to perform both independently and with companies. Jackie has had the opportunity to perform at various festivals and shows around the New England area and continues to study under influential teachers and choreographers. In addition to dance, Jackie is a cheerleading coach with over 15 years experience.

Moxie Dance Collective has been a special dream for many years and she is thrilled to see it come to fruition.​​

Ballet Instructor
Isabel Damon Weiss

Isabel Darmon-Weiss (she/her) is a fifth grade teacher who graduated from UMass Amherst with an undergraduate degree in Gender Studies and then moved to Boston to receive her graduate degree in Elementary Education from Simmons University. She is originally from Northampton, MA and grew up dancing at a local studio. Although her focus was ballet, she has practiced all different types of dance including hip hop, modern, jazz, and contemporary. She is so excited to be getting back into the choreography world and immerse herself back in the studio with Moxie Dance Collective!

 

When Isabel is not at the studio, you can find her working at the Charlestown boutique store, Slate, reading a book, tending to her plants/herbs, or re-watching a comfort show at home!
